Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] Getting the ethernet driver for a T42 -- mostly solved

OK, this is solved. I'd not done this in a while, and was going down
too far in the list of things. Once I selected "win32" Windows found
the right INF file and I was on the net, and was able to get updates
and ThinkVantage took care of the rest.

...Except for the wireless card. Both ThinkVantage and Windows
say a network controller is there without a driver, but Windows
says it can't find a suitable driver, and ThinkVantage says that
the install failed.

OpenBSD saw the wireless card, but there is no firmware for it
(you have to get it from Intel) so I didn't test it. Given that Windows
isn't having much luck, I'm wondering how the mini pci card is.
Guess I need to put the OpenBSD disk back in and see if it can
talk with the wireless card. Unless anyone has a specific idea
on this one.

Thanks for the replies, STeve Andre'
