My X32 works fine with a LaCie hard drive or an LG DVD burner. Never had any problems, and both the USB ports continue to work at the same time. Handy for file juggling. The only Firewire problem I recall on a modern Thinkpad is vidcam capture of DV format, but I believe that has more to do with modern Windows than it does the Thinkpad hardware. Windows 2000 on an older 600E, connected via Cardbus-Firewire card, worked great. I guess the true test would be to install the Cardbus in the X32, but never got around to it.... -- happy Jonathan Berry and Erika http://members.shaw.ca/berry5868/fun.htm _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
