I bought my 82-year-old mother one. It seems pretty nice; not up to T-quality, but not bad. There's no latch on it, so I wouldn't want to travel with it (she uses it as a desktop replacement). The Windows 7 installation on it failed 3 months in -- just wouldn't boot. A Repair worked but ate her data (she only had one file, rest was in GMail, and it's all in Google Docs now). Isn't this what happens when the CD isn't "closed" and the wrong driver is used? Not sure but I think so. ...phsiii (who gets the list digested -- apologies if these responses are old news) _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
