Sometimes there is a fuse in the cigarette lighter adapter. You might check that.
Even better, I checked mine. There is a fuse in there. The front probe unscrews and there's the fuse. It might be blown. ________________________________________ Robert Rosen Chief Information Officer National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases National Institutes of Health US Department of Health and Human Services Tel: 301-451-6525 E-Mail: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> ________________________________ ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Sun, 29 May 2011 14:29:08 -0400 From: Andrew Webber <[email protected]> Subject: [Thinkpad] Problem with Ultraslim AC/DC adapter and X300 To: ThinkPad List <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-15 Last summer, I bought a refurb "Lenovo 90W Ultraslim AC/DC Combo Adapter - US/Canada (41R4493)" shipped to a US address where I was staying. It's worked fine thought I'm a little disappointed with the overall size (I had visions of its ultraslimness letting me just tuck it into a corner of my case, but with all the cables and adapters it ends up pretty bulky; oh well it was a really good price for a second adapter). However I only used it with the 120V connector. About a month ago I tried it in the car and it didn't work! I also tried it in the cigarette-lighter adapter of an emergency car starter (portable battery) and again the computer didn't see any power. _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
