Thanks for your hints, but so far I was unable to "RE-activate" that internal drive.
And the most weird thing: I installed the whole XP using that very drive. I now took out the drivers and had hardware detection running with the result that the same drive is being installed: LG 8241b But it is NOT shown in "My Computer" As said: I have a 570e running Win XP on a 05k5840 Upon installation of XP there is one unknown device - which is it? Next thing: Upon connecting the 570e to the Ultrabase 05k5840 it does show it is in the "docked profile", the lights on the 05k5840 are active, but the Windows on the 570e does not mount the CD drive and show it in the working place as for instance d: or so What steps do I need to take to "RE-activate" the internal CD ROM?
