Ted, thanks for the link. I obviously need to spend more time on Bill's
forum. (Our situation is exactly the one described on that thread.)
But one caution for the 64 bit Windows, which is to make sure that the
software
you want to use will run in 64 bit mode. A friend was mislead by the
makers of
software that he used, and found out the hard way that it didn't work.
We use 64 bit on our other W7 machines, and so far have only had one minor
problem, namely that the 64 bit version of MS OneNote can't import PDFs.
There is other software I use that won't run in any Windows OS past 2000,
but that's a different issue.
