The Samsung 80GB drive in my T4x (I call it that 'cause the label says it's
a T40 but the S/N says it's a T42, or vice versa, I can never remember!)
died. ISTR some discussion of what drives would/wouldn't work in the T4x
machines. Will

Alternatively, does anyone on the list have a 60-80GB EIDE drive they want
to sell me cheap? I had 3 or 4 on the shelf, but all turned out to be bad.
And a friend gave me one from a Gateway laptop (circa 2000) and it was too
thick to even fit in the machine - I hadn't realized there was an older
generation of drives that was thicker!

 

This is my browsing-while-watching-TV machine, so it doesn't hold any real
data, so I'm not worried about needing more space.
