Hi, My brother has a Thinkpad, not a very recent model, but also not very old (he is not sure which model it is, unfortunately).
Yesterday, it suddenly stopped working. It is now powered off, and no matter how long he presses the power button, it won't turn on. It happened when he just left it on for a while (when he came back he saw it is powered off). Battery does give power (and there is this problem even when the power chord is in).
