Try this old trick: ? Remove the battery, hard and media drives, unplug the AC adapter. ? Press the "power" button ten times in a row holding it down for ten seconds each time, and thirty seconds the last time around. ? Plug the adapter - but nothing else - back in and try to power on. ? Good luck. ? Cheers, ? George

Yesterday, it suddenly stopped working. It is now powered off, and no matter how long he presses the power button, it won't turn on. It happened when he just left it on for a while (when he came back he saw it is powered off). Battery does give power (and there is this problem even when the power chord is in). Any ideas what to check for? Thanks. _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
