In the US it is better 100% of the time to send it to the central Easy-serve depot than to bring it to a local depot or other partner. I don't know what your service situation is like in Canada.

Thanks George, David. I have taken the hard drive out, retested with the
stick, still the same issue. I will ship it without the hard drive.

Do you guys recommend sending it to the depot Vs sending it to a lenovo
business partner? I am in Toronto, I think I am looking at an outage of
atleast 2-3 weeks before it is fixed?

I have never used the service center, do you guys recommend opening the
laptop up and taking pictures of all the parts before I send to repair?

This sucks, I really like the X220 :-(
