I for one would beg to differ.

My experience with knock-off batteries has been nothing short of atrocious.

I would *never* sell a ThinkPad with a non-OEM battery to anyone, and I sell 
more ThinkPads in a month than most people get to see in a lifetime.

Your ThinkPad - your call.
