Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] T43 IE config issue

Getting closer but still not quite right.

I want to point browser to PMMail POP mail client.

On the machine whose HDD I lost, when I clicked a mailto tag,
it would open PMMail. I can't recall how it happened and
didn't document that part of the setup.

On the new WXP I'm building on my T43

IE7 which came with the default OEM install offers only
Windows Live (whatever that is) and Outlook Express as
 e-mail clients
.
I can find no way to point it to PMMail.

OE is configured with my ATTGlobal POP mail acct OK, but
the program itself is no good because I can't access the
individual outgoing messages as ASCII text files after
transmission, which I often have to do. Also they don't
go into my PMMail archive so are lost to an archive
 search.

So I have to get OE out of the flow somehow.

Google Chrome: Can't find any way in Tools or Settings to
 point to the mail client.

Any further thoughts most welcome

In Outlook Express, make sure that the default account is your POP account.
There may be a dummy
Hotmail account there for ease-of-configuration sake, but you don't want it.

I'd like it to point to my POP client
PMMail. It offers me only LiVe or
something like that, and Outlook Express
