There is no 15" T61. There is a 15.4" T61, but that's a widescreen.
The last ThinkPads with conventional 15" screens were T60/p, and R60/e/i. There was a 15" R61 released for EU only, never for U.S. The screen that you're referring to (ID Tech QXGA) requires a firmware flash to work in a T60 or T601 FrankenPad. I'm just about done building one with that exact panel.
