Hey, flo66, I don't know if this will help you, but it helped me --

I read in another thread that changing the Webmail-Hotmail preferences
to use WebDAV would fix the problem with old accounts on Hotmail. I've
been a paying customer for a long time, so it worked for me.
Apparently this is not a permanent fix, since it is rumored that
Microsoft is going to eliminate the WebDAV functionality on even the
old Hotmail accounts at some point.
If you've got an older account, you should probably give the setting a
try.
