I have the same problem. However I tried opening Hotmail in my
browser and discovered that I couldn't send mail from there either!
I tried both FF2 and Epiphany on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04
FF2: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.17) Gecko/
20080924 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/2.0.0.17
Epiphany 2.22.2, gecko 1.9
So, while I'm very, very grateful for all the hard work on getting
Hotmail to work I will now drop Hotmail and switch to GMail instead
which is working both for sending and receiving.
Again, many thanks for the Hotmail add on in the past and now for the
GMail addon.
