@Zzyzx: try to set up a new tb-account for hotmail in a separate profile after deleting the old tb-account and after making a BACKUP of your OLD MAILS !!!! ....................................................................................... thereto a citation from an older conversation: first i saved my old hotmail.de-mails therefore i copied the "Inbox"-file and the "Inbox.msf"-file (C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\ApplicationData\Thunderbird \Profiles\%TBprofile%\Mail\localhost) (so i can copy them back to the new location later to replace the new files there) then i deleted the account and the smtp-server in TB and also remaining folders an files (above mentioned path) i also uninstalled all extensions and deleted remaining folders and files in the %TBprofile%-folder (folders: extensions and WebmailData; files: extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.rdf and xpti.dat) (be careful !!! this step removes all add-ons, so you have to reinstall those you want to use further on) as result TB is cleared as if the account had never existed then i created a new profile for tb that should be used only for the hotmail-account (profileswitcher add-on maybe useful) i have installed the webmail/hotmail extensions (latest versions) first than i created the account as a webmail account (before i had a normal email account in tb, but it seems to be that it makes no difference what kind of account is used) ....................................................................................... and another one: backup the .msf-files and all the other content of the localhost folder first c:\doc's & settings\username\AppData\TB\profiles \that_profile_which_contains_hotmail\mail\localhost uninstall the add-ons, delete remaining folders like Webmail and those for webmail/hotmail in extensions-folder delete the hotmail-account in tb create a new separate profile (profileswitcher_add-on is useful) for hotmail and install extensions first, then setup the account with servers (localhost is the only one and standard-smtp) you can choose the normal email account-type - it not has to be a webmail-account copy the backuped files to the new destination-folder and replace the content which was created there (like Inbox, Inbox.msf to Trash, Trash.msf) good luck, hope this helps --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Thunderbird Webmail Extension" group.
