1) This was a change made by the Thunderbird designers quite a while ago. To override it and do what you want you need to go to:
Thunderbird > Tools > Options > Advanced tab > Config editor Toggle the value of mail.pop3.deleteFromServerOnMove to true Reminder: this will affect all Thunderbird POP accounts - not just your Hotmail account. 2) What version of the Hotmail extension are you using?
