Webmail Author, while this will work, I am not sure how this will fix the issue if every Vista user of MS Defender has lost the hosts file. You could be posting until the crack of doom to cover this one. (This forum format seems particularly unhelpful in being able to alert users to a generic issue like this one).
I hope that the folks in Redmond will be doing something to overcome this apparent idiotic action.
