Ok Today 2009.09.03 I did the following I changed to the new site as some has recomended here. Then I signed in to my hotmail account since some one told about a startup message.
Once I clicked don't show again on this startup message and used new site hotmail worked. I hope this helps those who haven't got it to work yet.
