Hi !
1st post. I am using Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 on WXP. I have installed the
plugins. I read the forum re mail.com migrating to AOL, and use the
AOL plugin to access the mail. So far so good. Then, after setting up
the accounts and sending and receiving email on all of them, I started
having signin problems, which seem to be nothing to do with the
accounts - they all work fine via browser access.

First problm that started was whilst receiving mail fine, it would not
send, asking for the same password I had entered and stored in the
password manager. I tried removing all the passwords from Password
Manager. No dice. Then I tried doing a system restore back to the time
when it was working properly. No ice. Then I tried undoing the
restore, and trying again. No dice, and this time all the accounts
stopped receiving as well. Checked the accounts via my browser -
working fine. There is some interaction between TB, Webmail, and the
mail.com accts that is broken. Either that or severe operator error !!

The server settings in TB have all the security settings unchecked.
The only thing that seems strange, is that whilst I have 4 email accts
set up, if I look in the SMTP server drop down menue, I have 8 entries
all saying Webmail - localhost(with no other text against each entry.
This seems odd and may be a clue to those that know more about the
inner workings of TB/Webmail. Questions -
1) Is this a known issue ?
2) Is this a bug ?
3) Am I poting on the right forum or should I post on the main TB
forum or on both ?
4) I really like the TB look and feel, and want to know how I can get
this issue resolved ?

Thanks all in advance
