b9 partially worked for me (downloaded and deleted messages from server) but would not send.
b10 appears to work 100% for me (downloads and sends). Everything would appear to be back to normal for me. For those of you getting errors with b9/b10: Have you changed your Windows live settings to make the Hotmail Inbox your homepage when you log in? If not, you need to do this.
