I would guess that your Blackberry either views the mail in a web
browser as MS would prefer us all to do, or RIM have done a deal with MS
to enable BBs to access Hotmail.

Hi Everyone
It also worth mentioning that hotmail still works perfectly on my
Blackberry -- so whatever changes have been made by MS, the BB guys
seem to cope with it.
Unless of course, the BB uses a different method to manage hotmail
than TB does.

Hi Folks
Yes, I have set the hotmail options to open the hotmail inbox when I
log in.
For the record, I have installed the latest TB and add-on versions for
hotmail and webmail.
I know this is a tricky problem and many thanks to Webmail author.
If anyone else has a temporary workaround, I would be grateful.
I think that for those lucky few where the latest add-ons are working,
they dont have much email in their in-boxes ?
Maybe the solution is to delete all old (and downloaded) mails out of
hotmail and just leave the new ones ?

b9 partially worked for me (downloaded and deleted messages from
server) but would not send.
b10 appears to work 100% for me (downloads and sends). Everything
would appear to be back to normal for me.
For those of you getting errors with b9/b10:
Have you changed your Windows live settings to make the Hotmail Inbox
your homepage when you log in?
If not, you need to do this. Nothing will work until you change that
setting.
To the Webmail author, many thanks for your efforts!!

Hi Folks
Same symptoms as the above post.
When accessing hotmail, it tries to down load 38 messages (about half
were new) and the neagtive vibes on RETR command displays.
If its a MS server issue -- is there a workaround for this type of
situation or should we sit tight for the final fix ?

I get negative vibes with 29b10. No mail is downloaded for me at all.
No first page and no other page, just negative vibes on RETR.

29b10 and 9b1 is working - only minor thing is it seems to be only
grabbing the first page of unread mail each time it goes through a
download cycle. But it is removing the unread state so the next cycle
grabs the next page of unread mail.
I can live with that for now until a non-beta version comes out.

If it's a Hotmail server issue - what's the solution?

He has already stated that the RETR issue is an issue with hotmail's
servers - not a webmail issue.

Hi Webmail Author
Same issue here -- installed the latest 29b10 patch with the RETR
command still failing.
