If it's an MS server issue, it's down to MS to fix it. I don't know if
there's any connection, but yesterday my daughter couldn't open mails in
her Hotmail account using Firefox, but she could open them in Internet
Explorer. Could be that MS are using non standard code in the web pages
that locks out users of other brands of software?

Hi Folks
Same symptoms as the above post.
When accessing hotmail, it tries to down load 38 messages (about half
were new) and the neagtive vibes on RETR command displays.
If its a MS server issue -- is there a workaround for this type of
situation or should we sit tight for the final fix ?

I get negative vibes with 29b10. No mail is downloaded for me at all.
No first page and no other page, just negative vibes on RETR.

29b10 and 9b1 is working - only minor thing is it seems to be only
grabbing the first page of unread mail each time it goes through a
download cycle. But it is removing the unread state so the next cycle
grabs the next page of unread mail.
I can live with that for now until a non-beta version comes out.

If it's a Hotmail server issue - what's the solution?

He has already stated that the RETR issue is an issue with hotmail's
servers - not a webmail issue.

Hi Webmail Author
Same issue here -- installed the latest 29b10 patch with the RETR
command still failing.
