The steps taken by potbic have not led to to a solution of the issues with Webmail. The actions taken have simply followed the often repeated solution of using the free Hotmail POP & SMTP servers which is now the default action in Thunderbird when a Hotmail account is created.
This is not a criticism of that action just pointing out that with this solution you cannot download any folders other than the Inbox. If that is your only need then follow along but also recognize that it has nothing whatsoever to do with the Webmail add-ons.
