Hi I've just started using Thunderbird 8.0 with my work email (and my work PC) and I want to add my personal gmail account too.
So far I have done: Tools> Account Settings> Add Mail Account I filled in my Name, Email Address and Password (these work with browser based Gmail) IMAP selected Create Account Error Message "User name or password invalid" "Configuration could not be verified - is the user name or password wrong?" I've read in other posts that Unlock Captcha (https:// accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha) works but this didnt help me. I've been to the Gmail> Mail Settings> Forwarding and POP/IMAP> Enable IMAP and this didn't help. Have I missed anything? Is there any way around this problem to get my email working? Additional info: Windows 7 Thunderbird 8.0
