 I apologize if simplistic was not an adequate word.  In fact, I am sorry
 if that offended you.  I think my test case was not that bad, maybe I
 should have mentioned that I was using Auth.  However, I needed more
 information too in order to give a more complete report since the bug was
 confusing and at a first look the mis-behavior was that {{{$this->data}}}
 was not passed.
