#5826: Violations of visibility conventions in Configure and App classes
---------------------------+------------------------------------------------
    Reporter:  dho         |          Type:  Bug
      Status: new | Priority: Very Low
   Milestone:  1.2.x.x     |     Component:  General
     Version:  RC3         |      Severity:  Trivial
    Keywords:              |   Php_version:  n/a
Cake_version:  1.2.0.7899  |
---------------------------+------------------------------------------------
 While looking at the source of the Configure and App classes (both in
 cake/libs/configure.php) I noticed there are several violations of cake's
 visibility conventions. For example, in Configure::getInstance() the
 {{{__loadBootstrap()}}} method cannot be called, because it is private:
 {{{
 function &getInstance($boot = true) {
     static $instance = array();
     if (!$instance) {
         $instance[0] =& new Configure();
         $instance[0]->__loadBootstrap($boot);
     }
     return $instance[0];
 }
 }}}
 You will find such violations all over those two classes.
