Comment (by colinodell):

 Possible code changes for the solutions above:
 [[BR]][[BR]]
 Change line 318 from:
 {{{
    $sent = $this->$__method();
 }}}
 to:
 {{{
    $sent = ($this->$__method()) ? $this->__message : false;
 }}}
 [[BR]]
 Change '$!__message' so its no longer private and doesn't reset after
 sending (see line 321)[[BR]][[BR]]

 Add a new variable like '$renderedMessage' or '$body' or something as
 public, adding this anywhere before line 321:
 {{{
    $this->renderedMessage = $this->__message;
 }}}

CakePHP : The Rapid Development Framework for PHP <https://trac.cakephp.org/>
Cake is a rapid development framework for PHP which uses commonly known design
patterns like ActiveRecord, Association Data Mapping, Front Controller and MVC.
Our primary goal is to provide a structured framework that enables PHP users at
all levels to rapidly develop robust web applications, without any loss to
flexibility.
