#6068: requesthandler::startup() should execute before controller::beforeFilter()? -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Reporter: bmilesp | Type: Bug Status: new | Priority: Medium Milestone: 1.2.x.x | Component: General Version: 1.2 Final | Severity: Normal Keywords: | Php_version: PHP 5 Cake_version: 1.2.0.7692 RC3 | -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- i wanted to pass content-type: application/xml data to cake, and then do data checking in the beforeFilter() (in app_controller.php). but, turns out, this is not possible since the RequestHandler::startup() is where the application/xml data is converted to an object stored in $controller->data and that occurs after the beforeFilter() call. To me it seems out of order, thus limiting what you can do to xml data globally, restricting xml checks to the controller actions.
