#6068: requesthandler::startup() should execute before controller::beforeFilter()? -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Reporter: bmilesp | Owner: Type: Enhancement | Status: new Priority: Medium | Milestone: 1.2.x.x Component: General | Version: 1.2 Final Severity: Normal | Resolution: Keywords: | Php_version: PHP 5 Cake_version: 1.2.0.7692 RC3 | -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Changes (by mark_story):
* type: Bug => Enhancement Comment: No, startup() is always fired after beforeFilter(). Changing this would require re-architecting all the components. BeforeFilter() can be used to configure/disable components as well. Moving startup would prevent that as well. Wanting to access the converted XML data in beforeFilter() is a change in behavior and is an enhancement. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.cakephp.org/ticket/6068#comment:1> CakePHP : The Rapid Development Framework for PHP <https://trac.cakephp.org/> Cake is a rapid development framework for PHP which uses commonly known design patterns like ActiveRecord, Association Data Mapping, Front Controller and MVC.
