#6073: API doc's 'scroll-link' makes browser back/forward buttons useless

Click on, for example, a function in a class' documentation, the browser
zips down to function documentation. At this point you cannot go back to
the list of functions without having to scroll around searching for it.
You must scroll around because the back button doesn't know you had some
javascript bring you to the point you are currently at within the page.
Likewise this screw up the browser history, so using back/forward buttons
 takes you to unexpected pages/anchors.

The scroll-link thing is neat eye candy but its not helpful for efficient
browsing. Getting to the function takes longer with the scrolling than
simply using an anchor tag. The problem I described above makes it
impossible to, within one browser table, to switch between multiple pieces
of documentation with back and forward buttongs.

Perhaps I'm the only person, I hope now, but I'd be grateful if this
particular eye candy was removed. To be honest, the new format and
features of the documentation have made it over all considerable more
 difficult to use.

thanks and sorry for all the negativity,

 jyg
