btw, this was inspired by:

It would be darn handy to have that when you are building a cms.
Now there is no easy and fast way to, for example, get a link from all
your plugins to put into a menu. Of course, this could be done with
requestAction, but from what I hear, that would be terribly slow.
Ok, you probably won't need it in most cases, but it would be really nice
if it were there when you DO need it.
