Fixed in [ef05d8f63644d8430660366b666f4665186ebfb1]. (1.3-bake) I think
it makes the most sense that you cannot bake models for tables that do not
exist on the chosen connection. You cannot bake controllers or views for
models without tables either, so this makes things more consistent.
