Hey Koichi,
I agree that such a level of flexibility is indeed desirable. A lot of the
reasons that Felix gave not to do it right now boil down to Phing being
utter garbage and pretty useless for our purpose.
I suppose that mid- to long-term, we'll need a new, custom build system
that doesn't use Phing. That would allow all kinds of flexibility then. If
we added a feature like this right now, that would mess up our already
horrible {{{build.xml}}} even further.
Does that make sense?
