Sure. Cookies are good for some things. They are a bad for config.

I believe using cookies for config can be accurately described as flawed
design. (It's well written code though.. :)

You've created a very capable and useful solution/workaround to the flawed
design. I call it a kludge because the real solution is to address the
flawed design.

I'm sure it's wonderful but lets make it so TW users don't have to deal with
this complicated stuff just to have a sane way to turn on backups or
autosave.
