I believe the default settings are made so to create a backup folder where all the intermediate auto-saved files are stored. Look in the folder where you keep your TW to see if there is a folder there named twbackup. Everyone of the files in there is a separate TW, and if you sort them by date you should hopefully find a late copy of your work.
