Mm interesting. On another note,out of interest does most of your use of tagmindmap occur in IE? As if so, it is no surprise that performance is an issue for you. I'd strongly recommend using Safari/Firefox whereever possible as I need to do a *lot* of work around Internet Explorer to get it's performance nice :).
