hey,

I was looking for ways to color code my tiddlers (by category) and put
structural colorinfo to my TW, based on a basic category a tiddler
belong to (– say, given as a tag).
this dimension of information-coding seems very powerful to me besides
visual/grafic representation, tagging and other ways for meta-
structuring basic information units.
... especially taken, how easy this is implemented in most info-
organizing software. this seems a little more awkwrd in TW.

– I found _siglet_ promising (http://www.cs.utexas.edu/~joeraii/
siglet/). it not only allows color-coded headings, but extends this to
tags themselves and also to list representations of tiddlers (like
sidebar panels) - but I could not figure out how it is really
implemented into an existing TW. there is only sparse information,
which seems to point to including some css information... but then
there is no hint on how to really assign color categories and make
everything work. (I was even unsure, whether siglet is really only a
showcase/proof of concept and not an usable extension/plugin to TW)

also found Eric Schulmans _SetTiddlersBackgorund_ (http://
www.TiddlyTools.com/#SetTiddlerBackground) helpful plugin. here I see
how it would work based on tags and some basic setting-up ... but then
it works only on the backgrounds of the tiddlers content, and not on
tiddler-title (so that it is lost as hint whenever you fold a tiddler)
and does not stretch to the sidebar...

lastly I would like that color information _TiddlyTagMindMap_. but
while there is a field in the »TiddlyTagMindMap Node Settings«
everytime I fill it out, the info gets lost and no color-coding of
tiddlers (their representations in the MindMap). basically there seems
no info, what way to fill out the color-setting (hex? rgb? html-
name?...)

so, any hints on anything appreciated.
as anyone could figure out, I am also open to any oher approaches/
methods to colo-code my TW in ways that link color automativcally to
meta-info (like first tag, "category" of a tiddler etc.)
so besides collecting three questions about different plug-ins you can
read this as a basic question how I possibly could color code tiddlers
based on their meta-information. it might be worth exploring this
question beyond my practical questions.

every idea, information or hint appreciated!
oliver
