I've got EasyEdit working - only with Firefox, not Safari. So far so good. The "remove format" works for me for bold, color, but not for removing list markup. Exporting plain text could be just copy and paste, at least for individual tiddlers. I wonder if it's possible to get the "new tiddler" function to open a tiddler directly in "write" (i.e. easyEdit) mode.
What are the disadvantages of editing in easyEdit mode? Of course people used to TW will want to be able to use markup. But for newcomers (I'm thinking of my students), a toolbar for simple formatting and being able to edit formatted text with all of its formatting visible would greatly increase uptake, I think.
