This may not be the problem but I just solved a similar problem caused by listbox plugin 1.2.x fixed by Upgrading to http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#ListboxPluginInfo Version 1.2.3 fixed it however the field that were already populated needed re saving to fix their value.
I think the field value was saved as [[[[value]]]] I have also recently updated import/export tiddlers so perhaps there is a relationship.
