I noticed that noone has answered your question yet...
I don't know the answer - but asking the question in the Safari forum
might give some answers regarding the use of filebrowser in Safari:

Just a thought - Of course I might be wrong - I don't know Safari very
well, and when I'm using Safari it's in Windows Xp pro.
Have you considered using Erics exportplugin instead?
