Thanks for the ideas. Yes, the references are generated fine by the
toolbar. The only other plugin I have installed (beside
InlineJavascriptPlugin) is Alias. I disabled it but no help.

I just tried downloading an empty TW, installing the
InlineJavascriptPlugin and populating it with a few referring tiddlers
but <<tiddler ShowReferences>> still doesn't work. I loaded it in
Chromium, Epiphany and Firefox but no luck. I'm beginning to think
there's something wrong with my Java installation.
