I think someone very recently published or maybe just linked to some kind of public no-write edition. Hopefully someone will fill in what I'm referring to here.
I'm not really familiar with the appear-plugin but I'm interpreting it to be something that works in a static wiki/tiddler. But, yeah, it sounds like a simple solution to have a single static tiddler that simply "grows" for each update.
