Mike, > If I am understanding you correctly, you want to create new tiddler > every time the TW is opened?
Not every time. There is a scenario when I use Notepad++ to edit TXT files as a dumping ground for random and spurious thoughts. I won't abandon Notepad++ for TiddlyWiki but I keep forgetting to push those "chunks" into a TiddlyWiki instead. Because I can create a macro in Notepad++ that will handle parameters, I can select a portion of text in a file and execute the macro which would open my TiddlyWiki in Firefox and create a new tiddler containing the selected text. The macro can also prompt me for a title and tags or anything else I might come up with. > . . . and you want it to have the correct information / tags? My goal is to push the content through the URI and obtain the EXACT same results as if I had opened the TiddlyWiki, selected newTiddler, entered a title, pasted my clipboard contents, applied tags as needed, and saved the tiddler. > Do you want it to be in edit mode or just created? I suppose the TiddlyWiki should open in edit mode. What I hadn't thought about before posting this question was whether I would only want to modify a local TiddlyWiki or a hosted one (TiddlySpot). Will that make any difference? Thank you, Mike, and everyone else who has or will chime in. Craig -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
