Peter, The ViewTemplate will show the table in every tiddler having the tag passage. Create a tiddler tagged passage and create the relevant fields and you will have the table.
If this is what you want, you do not need to do anything with the ViewTemplate. In you original question I think you had the information in the text area, that would be a problem at least I think.
