If you're interested in a UI paradigm that might make configuring a Tiddly960 easier for the neophyte TW user, take a look at http://a-pm-experimental.tiddlyspot.com/#JQSorter by Mario Pietsch. His drag-n-drop approach to arranging tiddlers for a presentation could be adapted to allow a Tiddly960 user to take something like http://tiddly960.tiddlyspot.com/#Tiddly960conceptualModel and arrange their TW to suit.
