@JD very neat. I do something similar in an unfinished task manager plugin I use, including trying to parse shorthand for dates into a date field.
Example: Cleanup task manager #plugin and share #todo tom where "tom" gets parsed as tomorrow's date. Or shorthand like "mon" for first coming monday or "in 2 days" or "ev day" for every day.
