This is essentially how I use my Notaton editor, the one from the google hangout video with Jeremy. You've encouraged to me consider crosslinking them as I go, though the motivation and need for doing so or even adding tags has been sparse so far. I think that's been partly because the tag based approach doesn't fit into my larger workflow.
