Trying it today with pasting, and it's pretty neat. The import dialog gives 
you the chance to rename the image  But you can't paste into the UI 
insert-image tweaked dialog, which would allow you to get things down to 
almost one-stop-shopping for images. For me, copying/pasting is often as 
good as dragging/dropping.
