I'd recommend doing something similar to Tobias' suggestions. Using
different view and edit templates for your tiddlers gives you a lot
more flexibility in the long run. It would allow you to change the
tiddler layout completely and/or add extra html elements whereas the
hideWhenTagged macro can be a little limiting after a while.

TaggedTemplateTweak is a great plugin to use for this. I'd also
recommend the ThemedTiddlerPlugin that uses a field instead of a tag
to decide which theme/template to apply. I prefer this because I
consider setting the theme/template of a tiddler to be a behind the
scenes job(fields) not a job visible to the user (tags).

Anyway both plugins would work. Let us know how you get on,
